Support
Chalky is made by one climber, so your email comes straight to me — not a ticket queue.
Get in touch
Email chalkyclimbing@outlook.com and I'll get back to you, usually within a couple of days.
If something is broken, it helps enormously if you include:
- Your device and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- The Chalky version, from Settings → About Chalky in the app
- What you were doing when it went wrong, and what you expected instead
- A screenshot, if it's something you can see
To ask for a feature rather than report a problem, use Settings → Feature Requests in the app, where you can also vote on what others have asked for.
Documentation
Most questions about how a feature works are answered in the documentation. Good places to start:
Your account and your data
Forgotten password. Use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and you'll get a reset link by email. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder before emailing me.
Exporting your climbs. Settings → Export Data takes your full log out as CSV files, and can save your media to your photo library. It's your data, and there's no lock-in.
Deleting your account. Settings → Delete Account removes your account and its synced data. This is permanent, so export first if you want to keep a copy.
See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and where, and the Terms of Service for the fine print.
Climbing offline
Chalky is built to work with no signal. Logging, editing and reviewing all run against the copy on your phone, and anything you record at the crag syncs by itself the next time you have a connection. There's nothing you need to remember to do.
