Media Gallery

Store and organise photos and videos of your climbing.

Overview

The Media Gallery stores all photos and videos you've attached to your sessions and routes. Build a visual record of your climbing journey.

Adding Media

During a Session

  1. Open your current session
  2. Tap the camera icon
  3. Take a photo or video
  4. Media is automatically attached to the session

To a Specific Route

  1. Open the route detail
  2. Tap Add Media
  3. Choose from camera or library
  4. Media is linked to that route

From Your Photo Library

  1. Go to Media Gallery
  2. Tap Import
  3. Select photos/videos
  4. Choose which session to attach them to

Media is automatically organised by:

  • Session — All media from a session grouped together
  • Location — Filter by crag or gym
  • Date — Chronological timeline view
  • Route — View all media for a specific climb

Viewing Media

Grid View

See all your media as thumbnails. Tap to view full screen.

Timeline View

Scroll through your media chronologically, with session headers.

Route View

See all attempts of a route with their associated media side by side.

Cloud Sync

Your media syncs to the cloud when connected to WiFi (by default).

Sync Settings

  • WiFi only — Only sync on WiFi (recommended)
  • Cellular — Sync on mobile data (uses data)
  • Original quality — Store full resolution (uses more storage)
  • Optimised — Compress for faster sync

Original photos are always kept on your device. Cloud storage uses optimised versions unless you choose original quality.

Storage Management

Check Storage Usage

Go to Settings > Storage to see:

  • Local storage used
  • Cloud storage used
  • Breakdown by media type

Free Up Space

You can remove local copies of synced media:

  1. Go to Settings > Storage
  2. Tap Manage Storage
  3. Choose media to offload
  4. Synced media remains in the cloud

Sharing

Share Individual Media

  1. Open the media full screen
  2. Tap the share icon
  3. Choose your sharing method

Share Session Highlights

  1. Open a session
  2. Tap Share Highlights
  3. Select media to include
  4. Generate a shareable summary

Privacy

  • Media is private by default
  • Only you can see your media unless you share it
  • Media is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • You can delete media from cloud at any time

Tips

  1. Document your projects — Take progress photos to see improvement
  2. Record beta videos — Film the moves for later review
  3. Capture conditions — Photograph route conditions for future trips
  4. Celebrate sends — Don't forget to snap that summit shot!
